Dr. John D. Ratcliffe DC DACRB DACBN CFMP

Dr. Ratcliffe is passionate about caring for his patients and loves his job.  Dr. Ratcliffe DC has his undergraduate degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in 1997. He was Board Certified in 2007 after received his Diplomate in Rehabilitation from the American Board of Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialists. After practicing for ten years as a Chiropractor he added the rehabilitation specialty after a rigorous post doctoral program. He later completed an advanced neurology program in electrodiagnostics from National University of Health Sciences.  He is also one of an elite group of physicians to hold a Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition and is currently also practicing as a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.  His passion is neuro-orthopedic rehabilitation, neurology, functional medicine, and nutrition.

His areas of expertise are conservative based spine care, rehabilitation, physical medicine, human performance, movement disorders, exercise and fitness program development, chiropractic, and therapy modalities. His skill is unsurpassed in gently re-aligning not just the bones of the body but also in myofascial release.

Dr. Ratcliffe’s approach has led to great successes in the treatment and management of a vast array of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Areas of interest and treatment expertise include the spine and muscles but also the feet, hips, knees, shoulders, and wrist. He is avid in his post-doctorate education and has attended conferences at Harvard Medical School as well as many other prestigious institutions for the advancement of his specialized treatment.

 

​Dr. Ratcliffe has three boys and loves his active family. He enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, running, and teaching the youth group. Dr. Ratcliffe loves to exercise at NOVA’s gym and has lost over fifty pounds! Join him for YOGA on Monday nights.

Dr. Brent Banks DC

Background & Education
Dr. Banks is originally from the Quad Cities in Iowa and Illinois. His undergraduate training was at Black Hawk College and Scott Community College. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College with a Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) in Davenport, Iowa in 2004. He moved to Northern Virginia in 2005 to start his Chiropractic career and has been a Chiropractor in Northern Virginia for over 17 years.

Skilled at Re-aligning the Spine & Joints Dr. Banks is skilled at re-aligning the spine and joints to restore proper biomechanical and neurological function, and has mastered the Chiropractic
Techniques of Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, and Thompson Drop Table. 

He is Nationally Board Certified in Therapeutic Modalities as well as Chiropractic healthcare. His areas of treatment proficiency include the spine and joints,
including toes, feet, knees, hips, fingers, wrists, elbows and shoulders. He has enjoyed many successes in the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis, Hammer toe, and Bunions as well as a variety of other extremity problems. Dr. Banks has clinical experience in relieving headaches, migraines, TMJ disorders, and sinus issues.

Board Certification and Training Dr. Banks is Board Certified and licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice Chiropractic and Physical Medicine. He is certified in Dry Needling from
the Dry Needling Institute. He has been a member of the Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association since 2005.

Dr. Sue Brady, Physical Therapy and Nutrition

Dr. Sue Brady, physical therapist, brings a diversity of experience and knowledge to the health care profession. She graduated form the University of Southern California in 1989 with a Masters of Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist she has treated patients with a wide variety of physical ailments and disease. It was while practicing PT, that Susan began her studies in Complementary and Alternative Medicine and uses both physical therapy and nutrition to help her patients achieve the highest level of health.

Nessa Sandel, LMT

Meet Nessa Sandel! She has been a licensed massage therapist since 2016 after graduating from Central Maryland School of Massage of Frederick, Maryland. She is an intuitive and caring woman on a mission to help people heal after trauma, be that emotional or physical. She is a Reiki 1 practitioner, certified in cupping, reflexology, hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, mayofacial release, prenatal massage, Swedish and therapeutic massage. Nessa hopes to bring you back to a more grounded and balanced state and share how you can bring that state of mind wherever you go. As a busy mother to three beautiful children, she understands how hectic life can become. It is important we practice self care in order to care for those we love and she is here to help you on your journey to being your best.
